Nga Whare Manatu is a unique retreat offering luxury accommodation above the beautiful boutique village of Geraldine. Nestled amongst native plants, stunning birdsong, views to the east coast sunrise and the amazing night sky, our vision is to provide you with a magical relaxing experience that showcases our natural environment and everything that connects us to our whenua (the land). Relax in your hot tub and enjoy the wonders of the stars then continue to view this magic from your bed through the large ceiling skylights and wake in the morning to incredible birdsong while watching the sunrise on the East Coast of South Canterbury.
Our whares are designed to reflect our natural environment and have been built with a mix of natural and raw materials, such as exposed steel beams, architectural timber walls and ceilings, natural tile floors on the inside and are clad in corten steel with exposed aggregate concrete decks outside, which house the stainless steel cedar hot tubs.
All units have underfloor heating, heat pumps and reticulated gas for endless hot water in your hot tub or walk in shower.
